Sexed Semen, Cogent Breeding's 'fast-track' dairy breeding solution, gains another recruit to the ranks this month as Galaxy Speed joins the programme.
Sexed Semen is now available from Galaxy Speed
Beautifully-balanced cows with no extremes of angularity are one of Galaxy's defining traits
A high-type, easy-calving sire, Galaxy Speed made his bull proof debut in May and has all the makings of an exceptional sire, promising compact cows especially suited to the grazing and cubicle environment.
"From the same family that produced Gelpro, Galaxy is a CVM-free Convincer son who sires beautifully-balanced cows with no extremes of angularity," says Richard Williams, the company's business development director.
"His daughters have plenty of width and depth, good legs and super udders. This makes for easy-to-manage cows, with strong production capabilities.
"Galaxy is the ideal sire for farmers looking to move away from the taller, dairy trend of recent years," Mr Williams advises.
Sexed Semen from Galaxy Speed is available immediately, at a cost of £39.60 per straw.
