Back to News

Farmers and their families are invited to the next NFU Cymru Anglesey’s summer meeting on Thursday, 12 July 2012.

Starting at 7pm those present will be given a tour of the 16th century traditional farm buildings at Hen Blas Cemlyn, a National Trust costal site on the island, by farmer and Anglesey National Trust Warden Bryn Jones. This will then be followed by a short walk along the North Anglesey Costal Path.

John Hyland, a farmer’s son from Ireland who is currently studying for a PhD in Bangor University will also be present at the meeting. He is currently researching into how the Welsh livestock sector can meet its own targets on reducing environmental impact in a profitable way and will conduct a short questionnaire, which is being funded by Hybu Cig Cymru.

Anglesey NFU Cymru County Chairman Christine Jones said, “We are extremely grateful to Bryn Jones and National Trust for allowing us to hold the meeting at Hen Blas and for the provision of light refreshments. This meeting is open to all NFU Cymru members and we hope you can come and join us.
